Hope you weathered or even celebrated the change of the year to 2020!
On New Years Day my oldest daughter with hubby and two teen and two college aged offspring, were at our house for a celebration of Dutch goodies eaten this time of year: apple doughnuts, and a fruit “bowl” dish inherited from my mother (a big bowl of a variety of fruit, with a cup of red wine and 7-up).

They have a (grand)parent in the South of California, so we had a belated New Years “Christmas” with them.
For the first time in 5 years, they were able to give us Christmas presents.

What is so special? It was to hubs and I much more important they were visiting us!
To them though it had been depressing and stressful that finances had been so tight, they had to let go of reciprocal giving of presents to their mom and dad (and as you may understand they had to let go of many other kinds of things as well). Am thankful for them their difficult time has passed.

If you  are in a situation like that, when you know God, he has not forgotten about you, and hands you a future and a hope that hard things may turn around in this New Year!

These below are not resolutions, but wishes:)

That we may recognize beauty in the midst of cold, cleaning snow, etc.
when it meets us on our path

That we may able to face reality, even when it’s not perfect, does not meet our standards,
or even when it’s messy!

That we will be able to let go of the stress or even nastyness, and horrible situations  at the end of the day, and focus on what we have, instead of what we do not have.

My own personal request: that we’ll have many long lasting sunsets.

Now that would be a 2020 (perfect) vision year. Along with many fun and inspiring All Seasons weeks!

  1. Wonderful images Jesh! The sunset & the forest view are gorgeous. Wishing you and all of All Seasons group good things to happen in 2020.

  2. beautiful thoughts and sentiments. The most important thing in our lives is our life, and the people around us that we love and who love us. And that we acknowledge and preserve the preciousness of nature. Have a wonderful 2020.
