IN NEED OF SUN

Since living in Northen California, this has become a recurring theme.
Around this time of year, I am tired of winter,
and long for spring and summer,
and I’m in need of sun.
my One liner for Wednesday.

Ususally I keep close tabs of the weather, since one whole wall of my living room is glass. Today I see the dark
clouds with rain recede,
and the grass and trees slowly start drying up
Yippee, maybe I get to see the SUN today!!

Okay, are we on a slope of better weather?

to feel the refreshing drops coming off this fountain,
when passing this corner to go to the coffee shop

A punch of red with 4 symmetrical yellow doors,
for sure also helps with that sunny feeling!

The clouds may still be in the background,
but my mind changes to feeling
“comfortable” and “warm weather.”
Maybe you can read the gold letters on
the wall that this is in Nevada.

there are other doors in the background.

  1. Lovely shots, Jesh. The weather has been all over the place for us too: Wintry one day, Summery the next, with the other seasons in between – never a dull moment 🙂
Thank you for taking part in the “My Sunday Best” meme.

  2. Great photo shots for your memes. Not sure why, but I thought you lived abroad. Been to CA once ever, and it is so lovely. My son lived in Santa Rosa for a bit when his wife was traveling Nurse. I got to go out there, and I loved it. So much more scenic than where I live in my small, small town. 🙂

  3. Love the orchids photo and the sun reflecting off the building. We are fortunate that Colorado has over 300 days of bright sunshine every year. Our weather has warmed up a bit but we can still get snow until late May.

  5. Love the photos today. I find this time of year a struggle. I yearn for sun and yet snow. Oh, well…..It seems to be spring here and sun is welcome. Thanks for linking up.

  6. That’s what drove us to buy an RV and head south in the winter months. BC has even more clouds and rain in the winter. And now I have a tan in March, unheard of. – Margy

  7. These are wonderful sky views, I collect them in the ‘Galeria Sky View!’ You are also invited to link!
We cannot complain about small amounts of rain here at the moment, I wish that of the Californian landscape too!

  8. I love that Orchid and the brick and glass buildings. It’s been sunny so far this week, but it’s going to get stormy again this weekend. I am enjoying both types of weather.

  10. This morning for the first time in days the sun is shining into the room I’m sitting in. I understand your need for sunlight at this time of year. I especially like your photo with the four yellow doors. It makes me smile.

    1. This is the season when I love blogging the most, for you exchange little things like this, not earth shocking events, but still important in one’s life. I may not have been talking about this, if we would be sitting at a coffee place?
